Beatrice Lazarski is a Junior from Wauwatosa, Wis., studying Life Sciences Communication, Spanish and Psychology with a certificate in History. After graduation, Beatrice plans on pursuing a career in life science communication and has a strong interest in working in the publishing industry. Using her wide variety of interests, Beatrice hopes to foster cross-cultural communication, potentially bridging the gap between English and Spanish speaking communities.

About the Frank Lessiter Ag Media Scholarship, Beatrice writes:

"This scholarship is a huge honor for me. As an LSC student, all of my peers are amazingly motivated, accomplished individuals. At times, sitting in an LSC classroom makes me feel like I am not doing enough, or am not qualified to be in the room. This scholarship is incredibly affirming and gives me increased confidence moving into the workforce after I graduate next year. It is a massive opportunity and will change the way I use my time next year. I will be able to take additional coursework, such as a community-based learning course and a print design class which will further prepare me for life after graduation. I am so appreciative of the opportunities this scholarship has given me."
