CHICAGO, Ill., October 20, 2014 — ECHO Incorporated is pleased to announce that it has become a supporting member of the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA).

Formed in 2011, the NHLA’s unique mission is to develop and provide a better understanding of Hispanics in the landscape industry and draw them in greater numbers into the broader community of landscaper industry leaders; to facilitate greater professionalism and transferrable business success among Hispanics in the landscape industry; and to provide the Hispanics in the landscape industry an effective voice in advocating industry interests.

“Ours is an association singularly focused on the youngest, fastest growing, most brand loyal and most elusive segment of the landscape industry,” says Ralph Egues, Jr., NHLA Executive Director. “Our success in creating a community capable of fostering greater professionalism and success by Hispanics in the landscape industry is the result of a shared effort by all members including our supporting members.”

“The NHLA model does not view OEMs as sponsors or advertisers but rather as members,” explains Mike Best, ECHO Inc. VP Sales & Marketing. ‘It is an important distinction. The organization offers its supporting members unique opportunities to better understand, engage and develop relationships with Hispanic contractor members. We look forward to working with the NHLA and members.”

ECHO joins fellow supporting members Briggs & Stratton, Blount International, Caterpillar, Exmark, Kohler, Honda Engines, Hustler, John Deere, MTD Products and Rotary Corporation beginning in 2015.

ECHO is a leading manufacturer of professional grade outdoor power equipment for professional and homeowner use.  The corporation markets its products primarily under the ECHO, Shindaiwa and ECHO Bear Cat brand names. The company is based in the Chicago suburbs. To learn more, visit www.echo-usa.com.
