Lake County International Partners with United Way on Cub Cadet Giveway
Editor's Note: Lake County International was Farm Equipment Magazine's 2013 Dealership of the Year in the under $50 million in annual revenue category.
Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) has teamed up with Lake County International in Madison to give away six Cub Cadet riding lawn tractors worth $1,800 each. Mower Madness kicked off April 28 with the drawing for the first lawn tractor taking place May 28. An additional tractor will be given away each month June through September with 2 drawings in July. The promotion is being held in conjunction with the IAUW’s 2014 campaign.
“We are very excited about this contest and grateful to Lake County International for their generous contribution,” said IAUW President Rob Buchholz. “Six people will win a riding lawn tractor, but the impact to the region from the funds raised by this contest will be invaluable.”
Entry into the Mower Madness contest requires the purchase of a 2014 IAUW prize book. Books are on sale at KJAM Radio, Lake County International, First Bank & Trust, Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and other participating businesses in Madison, Flandreau and Howard. The book costs $30 with discount pricing for bulk purchases. In addition to the Mower Madness contest, the book also acts as entry into monthly drawings for cash and prizes totaling over $14,000.
“We’ve given away almost $2,000 in cash and prizes already this year, but there is much more to give, including the lawn mowers,” said Buchholz.
Leading up to the first Mower Madness drawing, IAUW and LCI is placing a Cub Cadet at 4 undisclosed business locations in Madison. The lawn mower will spend a week at each location April 28 through May 25, during which time people can “Catch the Cadet” and enter into a contest for a free prize book.
A mower will also be making a weeklong appearance at a “secret location” in Flandreau May 19.
“Each time we move the mowers, we will ask the public to spot them,” Buchholz said. “Guesses can be submitted on our Facebook page or website, or on location with the mowers. Each week we will draw for a free prize book and all correct guesses will be entered into an additional grand prize drawing. We will also be selling prize books at a discounted rate on site.”
