Ariens Company celebrated its 80th anniversary at its Brillion, Wis. headquarters. More than 1200 guests gathered for the event, including dealers, current and retired employees, suppliers, and local community members. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker addressed the crowd and presented Company President & CEO Dan Ariens and his father Mike Ariens with a Certificate of Commendation to mark the occasion.
"The history of Ariens Company is interwined with the transformation of the American Landscape since 1933,” said Dan Ariens. “We’ll continue to invest in the future by building on the values from the past.”
A 7-foot bronze statue titled Generations which will be installed at the company headquarters was unveiled commemorating the event. Dan Ariens, a fourth generation leader of the company that is currently welcoming its fifth generation to the team said, “This milestone event is a celebration of the generations of employees who have worked to ensure Ariens Company remained relevant in the marketplace decade after decade.”
Exemplifying the theme of Generations, Ariens recognized members of 16 families who have had family members working for Ariens Company for three or more generations.
“Companies have to evolve over generations in order to survive,” Ariens continued. “Our job is not simply to celebrate what we’ve achieved in the past but to recognize that our youth represent where we’re going.”
