Riesterer & Schnell, a John Deere dealership group with several locations in Eastern, Northeastern and now Central Wisconsin, purchased Faivre Implement’s two John Deere dealerships in Stevens Point and Westfield, effective January 2, 2013.

According to Jim Faivre, CEO of Faivre Implement, “When we decided to sell our dealership, we felt Riesterer & Schnell, who were our direct competitors in many regions, would be the logical choice for the ownership team, our customers and our employees.”

“For 80 years, Riesterer & Schnell has remained family-owned by three generations and shares similar cultures, visions and goals. They have a vast history of successfully serving their customers, even longer than Faivre Implement.”

Also driving Jim’s decision was the fact that Riesterer & Schnell viewed the Faivre Implement employees as a crucial factor in the purchase decision.

According to Waldo Riesterer, General Manager of Riesterer & Schnell, “Having an existing base of top quality employees greatly influenced our decision to purchase Faivre Implement. Many of the same people who served our customers' needs for years, will still be there.

 “We value our team members because we know that without them, our business would not exist. Over the next few months, we will add new staff members as we prepare for future growth.”
