Segway Navimow, the robotic lawn mower arm of Segway, introduced the X3 Series mowers to the United States market for the first time at Equip Expo 2024, which took place in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 15-18, 2024. According to a written statement released during the event, the X3 Series is built for lawns up to 2.5 acres in size, and is designed to deliver a simple, smart and efficient mowing experience that exceeds expectations. Specialist dealers and distributors now have the opportunity to pre-order the X3 Series from Segway Navimow.
Focusing on easy installation, the company says the new X3 Series design requires no perimeter wire. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted mapping and advanced 3D camera technology, it ensures precise lawn coverage and efficient operation. It added that the mower also features intelligent site selection, optimizing the placement of the charging station and antenna for enhanced performance.
In detailing design enhancements and advanced capabilities, Segway Navimow noted a larger blade and accelerated mowing speed for faster, more precise maintenance of large lawns. With ultra-charging technology, the X3 Series recharges its batteries twice as fast as other robotic mowers on the market. Updates allow the X3 Series to cover lawns up to 5,000m² in just 24 hours.
Focused on advanced navigation, the company said in a statement that, powered by EFLS 3.0, the new series boasts significant improvements in both hardware and software, reported the company in a statement. With enhanced RTK coverage, vSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and VIO (Visual Inertial Odometry) technologies, the system delivers superior stability and precision in challenging signal environments. It further noted that its satellite observation capacity has been increased by 40%, while a new 300-degree wide-angle vision assistant and improved Vision Fence 2.0 technology. This extends the mower’s field of view, enabling efficient AI-driven route planning and reliable obstacle avoidance, and the advanced EFLS 3.0 navigation system allows the mower to more easily navigate complex landscapes, including tree-covered areas, front and backyards, and narrow pathways.
