During the Equip Expo 2024, being held Oct. 15-18 in Louisville, Ky., Toro unveiled a new limited edition to its Dingo TX 1000 TURBO product line, and introduced its new battery-powered 60V MAX 900 CFM Brushless Leaf Blower, while showcasing a host of other products in its lineup.

The company reports that during the event, nearly every division of Toro will present a complete overview of the company’s diverse offerings, from the new Toro Dingo TX 1000 TURBO to autonomous and battery-powered equipment and smart irrigation systems. This approach is designed to help landscape contractors better understand how Toro’s innovations are interconnected and aimed at solving industry challenges — particularly labor shortages and productivity gaps.

“From upgrading our tried and tested products to debuting limited-edition models, battery-powered, and smart, connected solutions, Toro is constantly evolving to address the pain points faced by our customers,” says Tom Werner, senior director of marketing of the Residential and Landscape Contractor Business at Toro.

A major highlight during the Equip Expo, noted Toro, will be the new Dingo TX 1000 TURBO. For a limited time only, this popular machine will be available in an exclusive, textured matte black finish — offering a bold new look that complements its unmatched capabilities. The release of the Dingo TX 1000 TURBO Limited Edition coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Dingo TX 1000, the compact utility loader that changed the trajectory and history of the equipment category with a rated operating capacity of 1000 lbs.

According to the company, Toro introduced the compact utility loader category of equipment to the North American Marketplace in 1998, and now reports that, more than 25 years later, in 2024, it offers more than a dozen variations of the popular Dingo compact utility loader (CUL), including this most recent introduction, which it notes builds off the proven success and strongest-in-class performance with a new turbo-charged diesel engine and patent-pending Smart Power ® feature to maximize engine, auxiliary, and traction torque.

In another statement issued by the company at Equip Expo 2024, Toro announced it is launching the most powerful residential handheld, battery-powered leaf blower on the market. The Toro 60V MAX 900 CFM Brushless Leaf Blower was designed in collaboration with a jet engine design consultant to put unparalleled power in your hand with nearly 50% more cubic feet per minute (CFM) than previous Toro leaf blowers.

The new battery-powered 60V MAX 900 CFM Brushless Leaf Blower also features patent-pending noise reduction and all-season technologies, improving sound quality for year-round clearing tasks. Powered by Toro’s Flex-Force ® batteries, the blower is a dynamic addition to Toro’s collection of more than 75 tools, mowers and snow blowers with interchangeable and reliable battery power. Homeowners can seamlessly swap batteries to switch between tools and tasks for unbeatable all-season solutions.

In addition, Toro is drawing Equip Expo participant attention to its Haven robotic mower, the industry’s first autonomous residential mower that eliminates in-ground boundary wires in favor of a vision- based navigation system. The company noted that this innovative technology allows the mower to create 3D maps of the landscape, ensuring precise mowing without the need for GPS or Wi-Fi.

Toro also plans to showcase its popular battery-powered Revolution Series of mowers, along with its electric Ultra Buggy, eDingo compact utility loader and a wide range of commercial-grade handheld battery tools for landscape contractors. These solutions are designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable, electric-powered equipment that rivals traditional gas-powered machines in performance and runtime.

The growing role of software in landscape management is also a key focus for Toro at Equip Expo 2024. Its irrigation offerings continue to lead the industry by integrating with Toro’s smart, connected software solutions. Toro’s Horizon360 business management software will unveil new capabilities to help contractors streamline their operations, and empowering contractors to manage their businesses more efficiently and effectively.
