The company says it is optimistic about 2017 and beyond, while remaining concerned about "headwinds" constraining sales growth and increases in the cost of inputs, such as steel.

Several new products were introduced, including the 2215 and 4815 Flex-Wing rotary cutters, three new zero-turn mowers, backhoes, wood chippers, log grapples, log splitters and RTX Tillers.

Yanmar introduced its new sub-compact tractor lineup this spring and Keith Wainwright, agriculture equipment business unit manager, says there were two main factors behind the introduction: demand from a growing segment of the rural lifestyle market and the company's decision to offer customized equipment.

Tractors are now being displayed for sale just a couple of hundred yards from City Hall, but, as Cocheco Equipment co-owner Bob Mulcahy points out, just a few miles outside the city center, in any direction, it is a rural landscape.
