Trustees of Reservations in Massachusetts to Cut Landscaping by Half

The Trustees of Reservations, which owns and manages more than 100 properties statewide including farms, parks, woodlands, and historic estates, decided recently to reduce by half the amount of manicured lawns on its holdings. This means, for many of its properties, cutting back on mowing, in keeping with a long-range plan to become carbon neutral by 2017.

John Deere Renews Plans to Build Marketing Center in Olathe, KS

John Deere announced today renewed plans to build a marketing and sales center in northwest Olathe, in the Corporate Ridge Office Park, near K 10 and Ridgeview Road. This 126,150 square-foot facility will house up to 500 marketing professionals who will provide support and service to John Deere sales branches and agriculture and turf dealerships in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
