"No other changes are planned," the company said in a statement. "We understand this rebalance directly affects employees and have provided paid time for them to apply for open roles."

Professional segment net sales for the second quarter were $1,068.7 million, up 15.4% from $925.8 million in the same period last year. 

The announcement lists the hazard as, "Fuel can leak from under the fuel cap, posing a fire hazard."

The firm has received 34 reports in the U.S. of the trimmers starting unexpectedly, including eight reports of lacerations requiring stitches.

The Far West Equipment Dealers Assn. (FWEDA) Board of Directors voted May 15 to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between FWEDA and the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) detailing the terms of a merger between the two associations. The merger requires approval from FWEDA members.

The newly elected and re-elected directors serve the organization's Canada, Deep Southern, Far West and Iowa-Nebraska regions.
