The recall is due to components of the steering shaft/steering system that could have been improperly assembled which can lead to loss of control, posing crash and collision hazards.
The announcement lists the hazard as, "The recalled 300 series snow blowers unexpectedly go into drive mode and collide with a consumer, posing an injury hazard."
