Polaris Industries Inc. on Tuesday raised its forecast for full-year net income and sales as the all-terrain vehicle maker posted a 51 percent jump in third-quarter earnings.
Net income attributable to Deere & Company was $617.0 million, or $1.44 per share, for the third quarter ended July 31, compared with $420.0 million, or $0.99 per share, for the same period last year.
Briggs & Strattons' fourth-quarter fiscal 2010 reported consolidated net sales of $615.6 million, an increase of $132.9 million or 27.5% from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009.
Blount International Inc., which makes chains for chain saws, said Monday that its second-quarter net income more than doubled on a jump in sales, and it raised its expectations for revenue and operating income this year.
