ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Equipment Dealers Association (EDA), in conjunction with its regional affiliates, Far West Equipment Dealers Association, Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association, Midwest-Southeastern Equipment Dealers Association and United Equipment Dealers Association are pleased to release their Summer Legislative Series Agenda for 2021.
Once again, due to COVID-19 related concerns, EDA and its affiliates opted to cancel their annual Fly-In in Washington, D.C that is typically held in March. In its place, the groups will host a series of three legislative-focused webinars in July.
The schedule is as follows:
- July 14, 2021: Senator Joni Ernst shares insights into key legislative initiatives in Washington related to infrastructure, including roads, bridges and rural broadband.
- July 21, 2021: Update from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the prosecution of illegal tampering and compliance with the Clean Air Act (CAA).
- July 28, 2021: A discussion about cyber-related legislation and infrastructure of interest to equipment dealers, including best practices to avoid compromising data.
All sessions are free to EDA members, but unlike typical EDA webinars WILL NOT be recorded, so dealers must attend live. EDA members can register for one, two or all three sessions.

Despite another year away from Washington, EDA has remained attuned to the regulatory environment and continues to advocate on behalf of its members. “We feel confident that we will be back in D.C. in March of 2022 for a long-anticipated in-person legislative fly-in,” says EDA’s VP of Government Relations, Josh Evans. “EDA and its affiliates look forward to continuing the great work we’ve been able to accomplish remotely with regard to our legislative priorities; Right to Repair, rural infrastructure and more!”
