Kubota Tractor Corporation today announced a first-ever community revitalization grant program, “Hometown Proud,” and is calling on all cities, towns, municipalities and nonprofits to submit an application for a chance to win $100,000 in funding and use of Kubota equipment to refresh, refurbish or revitalize a public space. The application process is open now through April 27, 2021, and any community project – from parks, playgrounds and baseball fields to rodeo and community arenas, and more – will be considered. Five finalists will be selected and put to public vote in May; the community project with the highest combined score from points and votes will be awarded the grant during summer 2021.

“At Kubota, we know times have been tough over the past year. Just like for our dealer network and the communities they serve, we know municipalities and nonprofits never stopped working to provide support,” said Todd Stucke, Kubota senior vice president, Marketing, Product Support & Strategic Projects. “The Hometown Proud grant program couples much-needed funding with the use of hard-working Kubota equipment – whether it be excavators, turf equipment or tractors – versatile tools to bring a community project to life for one local city, town or a nonprofit that helps it stay strong. It could be your community. It could be your vision. Our mission is to help you build it.”

How to Enter Kubota’s Hometown Proud Grant Program

Applying is an easy, three-step process:

  • Step One: Visit KubotaHometownProud.com between now and April 27, 2021. An authorized officer or employee with the legal authority to act on behalf of the municipality or registered 501(c)(3) organization can enter.
  • Step Two: Fill out the online application form to tell us about a community project in need
  • Step Three: Upload project photos and organization information

That’s it! The top applicants will be notified if they have made it to the next round.

After the application period closes and projects are reviewed, Kubota will select the top five finalists. In May of 2021, the public is invited to visit KubotaHometownProud.com to cast a vote for one of the top five finalist projects. Every voter that casts a vote will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes* for a chance to win a Kubota residential Z200 Series zero-turn mower or BX Series sub-compact tractor.

To be considered, all grant application submissions must be entered by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit status organization or a city, town or other municipality. The project must be within a 50-mile radius of an authorized Kubota dealer to qualify.
