A Rural Lifestyle Dealer poll asked dealers, “Can you share the percentage breakdown by age of the people working at your dealership, including yourself?” Based on the results, the age of employees is pretty evenly distributed among the 4 ages groups (18-30, 31-49, 50-64 and 65+). Of those who responded to the poll, 75% said people age 18-30 made up 25% of their staff. Nearly 69% of respondents said employees 31-49 made up 25% of their staff, while nearly 22% said that age group made up 50% of their employees. Another 66z said a quarter of them employees were 50-64 years old and 100% said those who were 65 or older represented 25% of their workforce.
