According to a report from ETAuto, the company reported tractor sales up 2% year-over-year last month, with 24,017 units sold, compared to 23,539 sold in May 2019. Exports, however, declined 72% year-over-year, with 324 tractors exported last month compared to 1,165 in the same month last year. Domestic tractor sales were at 24,341 in May, down 1% from 24,704 in the same month last year.
Hemant Sikka, president, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, "The timely relaxation of the lockdown for the Agricultural sector helped ensure the speedy recovery of tractor demand in May."
