Indianapolis — John Deere is recalling compact utility tractors due to an increased risk of injury. The recall involves green and yellow compact utility tractors with “John Deere” and the model numbers 4044R, 4052R or 4066R printed on the hood.        

According to the Consumer Product and Safety Commission, the front cab support bolts were installed improperly increasing the chance it will fail during a rollover, posing a crushing injury hazard to the operator. No accidents or injuries have been reported. 

John Deere is recommending that any consumer with the tractor get it repaired immediately.
