VALLEY CITY, Ohio — Cub Cadet unveiled the latest addition to its PRO Series, announcing the PRO X Series of stand-on mowers. The mowers, which are the first stand-on mowers in Cub Cadet’s professional lineup, add to the company’s growing line of commercial lawn equipment and provide a durable and innovative option for landscapers looking for the flexibility and productivity a stand-on mower provides.
“The PRO X Series finishes out the core of our extensive line of commercial equipment, giving operators the flexibility to mow a wider range of properties while providing superior productivity over a sit-down zero-turn mower. The small footprint of the PRO X series also frees up trailer space to further improve efficiency,” said Josh Sooy, director of commercial products, Cub Cadet. “We’re excited for commercial cutters to experience the suspension system and smooth controls of the X 600. It has a substantial impact on the way you feel after a long mowing session.”
A fully fabricated 10-gauge deck shell with 7-gauge top and bottom reinforcements gives the PRO X Series a strong backbone. And with a maintenance-free design, the spindles, bearings, hubs, casters, rims, linkages, levers and other pivot points do not need greasing. A standard 24-inch tire gives the PRO X Series more ground clearance than other units in the category. This means that when hopping over a curb, there’s enough clearance to back up without getting the machine caught up.
A large, fully adjustable suspension platform allows the operator to adjust tension in a matter of seconds without a tool. The suspension system was designed and tested against competitive units to provide best-in-class impact absorption, allowing the operator to glide comfortably through rough terrain. A fully adjustable hip pad with ample side supports offers comfort and stability when mowing slopes.
The PRO X Series is built to perform with professional high-lift Marbain blades, which offer a blade tip speed of up to 18,500 fpm and 1.5-inch blade overlap, and a premium Kawasaki engine with up to 25.5 horsepower. An easy step-on/step-off design allows for quick debris pick-up, while a deck size equal to or greater than the tire width maxes out traction, reduces turfing and will never run over uncut grass.
“We listened to the ideas and concerns of landscapers and designed the PRO X Series to be comfortable, durable and intuitive,” said Sooy. “With an ideal combination of balance and stability, this mower gives operators complete control while on the job so they can focus on the tasks at hand.”
The PRO X Series is backed by a three-year, no-hour-limit commercial warranty and a five-year limited deck warranty. It will be available for purchase in December 2019 at your local Cub Cadet dealership.
