The latest episode of the Rural Lifestyle Dealer Podcast series is now available and the topic for this conversation is safety. We’ve been placing a special focus on safety in the workplace. We all know it’s the right thing to do, but it’s also a good business strategy.
Pattison Agriculture is one dealership that is fully committed to safety, signing a “Mission: Zero” charter. The charter is an initiative of WorkSafe Saskatchewan. Pattison Ag has 19 locations throughout the province.
Arthur Ward, president of Pattison Ag, says this, “As an industry, in many ways we are still in the dark ages when it comes to safety. Our organization has a keen focus on safety and changing our culture and that of our customers.”
In this podcast, we talk with Erin Heimbecker, the dealership’s safety manager, about the components of their program, getting buy-in from the team, and its measurable impact on the business.
