HOUSTON, Texas — Mahindra Ag North America (MAgNA) announces Cleo Franklin’s retirement as he culminates his 8 years with the company and more than three decades in the ag industry. Franklin joined the company as vice president of marketing and strategic planning and moved into the role of marketing and business development for the company’s business units in Mexico and Brazil in his final year.
“As I look forward to the many exciting and new challenges ahead, I will always cherish the opportunities and memories with my Mahindra colleagues, dealers, partners and customers here in the U.S. and across the globe. I extend my gratitude to team Mahindra and look forward to seeing the brand continue to Rise,” said Cleo Franklin.
Under Franklin’s 7-year leadership of the marketing and strategic planning for MAgNA, he was instrumental in driving award-winning marketing campaigns, launching the utility vehicle business and introducing higher horsepower tractors for the brand. He was a part of the team that drove the business from number six to a number three player in the 0-80 horsepower tractor category.
“During his tenure, Mahindra Agriculture North America has grown from a new kid on the block to a major contender, and Cleo has played a significant role in getting there. And, while he is looking forward to a productive retirement, I know that Cleo will always remain a valued member of the global Mahindra Family,” said Anand Mahindra, Executive Chairman, Mahindra & Mahindra.
Before joining Mahindra, Franklin served as president of Franklin Strategic Solutions and vice president of sales and operations for Case New Holland Agriculture North America. His career also includes 21 years at John Deere, where he held numerous strategic, finance, sales, business development operations and marketing leadership roles.
