The University of Wisconsin and College of Agricultural & Life Sciences announced the 2019 recipient of the Frank Lessiter Ag Media Scholarship.
This year’s recipient, Allison Breunig, received the award at the April 25 event at the Pyle Center on campus in Madison, Wis.
The annual Frank Lessiter Ag Media Scholarship recognizes and encourages students interested in ag communications and media careers.
The 2019 scholar is Allison Breunig, who like, Frank, was raised on a dairy farm. From Sauk City, Wis., Allison is a junior studying Life Sciences Communications and Ag Business Management. She will be interning this summer with BASF in Columbia, Mo.

The scholarship was established by Lessiter Media in 2013 to recognize company founder and editorial chairman Frank Lessiter, while encouraging students interested in putting their communications skills to work in agricultural. Previous recipients of the annual Frank Lessiter Ag Media scholarship include: Josie Dallam (2013), Cassandra Endres (2014), Katlynn Rodgers (2015), Jordan Gaal (2017) and Liz Grady (2018).
