BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Toro once again proudly supports the annual Renewal & Remembrance landscaping event taking place Monday, July 16, 2018, at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Toro, along with its long-time distributor partner, Turf Equipment and Supply Co., based in Jessup, Md., will provide a fleet of Toro stand-on aerators and volunteers to help beautify the cemetery grounds. This year marks the 22nd annual Renewal & Remembrance landscaping event, which is organized by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).
“It’s an honor to be a part of this process each year,” explains Mike Reynolds, territory manager for Turf Equipment and Supply Co. “Our team is proud to volunteer its services on this special day to honor the men and women who have given so much for our country. Just being at Arlington Cemetery is a very awe-inspiring experience.”
The 30-inch Toro stand-on aerators being provided for the event are designed for high productivity and are compact enough to go almost anywhere. With zero-turn maneuverability, variable speed and reversible traction drive, they can easily get into and out of tight areas, making them ideal for this large task. Their adjustable floating operator platform and cushioned panel help reduce operator fatigue, empowering operators to be more productive every day.
In addition, Toro’s newest line of stand-on aerators will make an appearance at the event for the first time. Designed with maneuverability in mind, the 24-inch stand-on aerators are both simple to operate and extremely efficient. They’re compatible with Toro’s all-new spreader attachment, so operators can pull plugs and overseed with precision on a single machine.
“We believe our support for this event is just one small way we can help memorialize those who made the ultimate sacrifice -- and hopefully bring some solace and comfort to the families and friends who are visiting their loved ones at Arlington National Cemetery,” adds Chris Vogtman, marketing manager at Toro. “On behalf of everyone at Toro, we’re humbled by the opportunity to honor the service men and women who have served our country.”
