PUYALLUP, Wa. — Nothing makes Snow Shoe Evergreen happier than spreading holiday cheer, and they've been doing just that for more than three decades now.
After taking over a 55-acre dairy farm from his father, Ken Scholz and his wife JoAnn turned it into a Christmas tree farm. Every year, thousands of joyous families come to choose and cut their own trees from amidst the wealth of Noble, Fraser, Nordman, Grand and Douglas Firs. Seasonal snacks, cheerful decorations, John Deere tractors and happy kiddos characterize the holiday scene at Snowshoe Evergreen every year.
Their candy-cane-colored' tent is the perfect spot to enjoy a hot drink and write a letter to Santa ... which is guaranteed to be answered. Likewise, the Kids Zone enables them to pick child-sized tabletop trees, ideal for decorating when you're only three feet tall, and the Snow Shoe Evergreen staff is dedicated to educating young and old about the science of tree farming. Grownups will enjoy more than the smiles of their little ones; they can also find wreaths, mistletoe, swag and other decorations to cheer up the indoors and complement their tree.
As you can imagine, a bustling choose-and-cut tree farm can generate quite a lot of traffic when it comes to moving trees. Someone has to pick up all that slack, and John Deere tractors from Washington Tractor have been used to handle the workload. They pick up trees at the cutting site, then take them to the shaker and baler, where they’re transformed into neat little packages for transportation home.
We at Washington Tractor are honored to have Snow Shoe Evergreen as a customer because we see the good they do, and we believe in the same things they do: dedication, hard work, passion and helping others. We're excited to help bring this Christmas tradition to future generations.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our families to yours!
