BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Toro launches enhancements to Horizon Technology, an onboard intelligence system designed to increase productivity through defined performance modes, reduce fuel consumption, monitor machine health and allow for operator-defined maintenance reminders.
Horizon Technology provides an increased focus on productivity and fuel efficiency for the professional landscape contractor market. The system features three performance modes:
- Low mode, helps reduce deck packing and discharge clumping in wet conditions
- Economy mode, excellent performance in typical mowing conditions with reduced fuel consumption, emissions, noise and wear
- Max mode, maximum power for the most demanding conditions
Horizon Technology enhancements include a larger display screen with plain text error codes and added functionality including operator-defined maintenance reminders, machine health monitoring and having the ability to track machine hours by property.
“Horizon Technology focuses on more efficient operation, better diagnostic capabilities and having the ability to set defined maintenance reminders, based on the contractor’s needs,” said Chris Hannan, senior marketing manager at Toro. “Horizon Technology will help improve the overall performance of the machine in varying conditions and make contractors more productive.”
Horizon Technology is currently available on select models in the Z Master 6000 Series and is available from Toro’s trusted network of dealers and distributors.
