LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kubota Tractor Corp. unveiled two new commercial mowers from the showroom floor at this year’s GIE+Expo, the Green Industry & Equipment Expo, in Louisville, Ky. Professional landscapers and other turf industry professionals were the first to see Kubota’s commercial mower introductions including the new Z700 family of zero turns and a new 21-inch commercial walk-behind mower. Kubota also introduced the newly upgraded residential T Series riding mower line at the show. The new mowers will be available at Kubota dealerships December, 2017.
“We are particularly excited to be introducing the new Z700 models; I have no doubt that landscape professionals will rejoice when they experience the new premium adjustable suspension seat,” said Tom Vachal, Kubota senior turf product manager. “Adding the 21-inch commercial walk behind mower to our popular W Series family of walk-behind mowers ultimately provides turf professionals with more options and versatility under the Kubota brand they have come to trust.”
Kubota’s NEW Z700: Boasting Ultimate Power and Now, Ultimate Comfort
The new Z700 Series offer exceptional performance, industry-leading value and now unsurpassed comfort. The new premium suspension seat allows the operator to customize their ride with the weight adjustment knob. The new seat will allow for up to 3 inches of vertical travel while being able to slide fore and aft 6 inches. With Parker TorqPact HTG 14 transmissions, the most power-dense transmission available for commercial turf applications, the new Z700 Series is designed for an optimum combination of speed and torque to deliver higher efficiency. Better overall efficiency means more horsepower to the deck and less heat into the oil which translates to a fast, high quality cut, whether the turf is easy or tough, or the terrain is rolling or flat. The Z700 is in a power and comfort league of its own.
Kubota’s WG6-21: Rounding out the Fleet with a 21-inch Deck Option
Kubota’s new 21-inch commercial walk behind mowers will be a great additions to its popular W Series commercial mower line, available with a blade brake clutch in the WGC6-21 model and with a zone start option in the WG6-21 model. Kubota’s new 21-inch commercial mowers combine cutting and bagging performance along with extreme durability. The cast aluminum deck with steel edge guards, and cast aluminum wheels with dual ball bearings and replaceable wide rubber tires, meet the demands of the lawn care professional. The 3-speed heavy-duty transmission is designed for performance and long service days. The new model features the Kawasaki FJ180 commercial duty engine, which dominates the commercial walk behind mower segment. The ergonomic controls deliver easy operation and comfort throughout the day. With the introduction of this new deck size, Kubota’s W Series now includes 21-inch, 36-inch, 48-inch and 52-inch deck options, allowing landscapers the opportunity to find the perfect mower to match any job.
Kubota’s T Series: Newly Enhanced Residential Mower Line
During the press conference at GIE+Expo, Kubota also unveiled three new residential models that will replace its previous T Series mower lineup. The new and improved T Series line is comprised of the T2090 with 42-inch deck and the T2290 with 42- and 48-inch deck options. The residential ride-on mower line has been popular for years and Kubota improved on its features by engineering a class-leading ultra-sharp turning radius; operators can now turn the mower 360 degrees with only a 14-inch turning radius. A foot-operated hydrostatic transmission pedal simplifies control of speed and direction, leaving hands free at all times for precise steering and maneuvering in confined spaces. The biggest upgrades to the new T Series are found in comfort features: the flat foot pan provides clear operating space and ample room for the operator to enter and exit the mower. All three models feature a high-back seat that adjusts a full four inches forward and back for just the right operating position, and the T2290 models include a parallel link seat suspension system.
The new fabricated 42- and 48-inch cutting decks offer professional quality results on a ride-on mower. The T2090 and the T2290 boast powerful 2-cylinder V-twin engines that produce 20hp and 21.5hp, respectively. The new T Series mowers are available this December at Kubota dealerships with a 4-year/300 hour warranty.
