Calgary, AB. — The Western Equipment Dealers Assn. (WEDA) has launched its new website — www.westerneda.com. Expanded and completely redesigned, the new website includes comprehensive access to a cleaner more contemporary design with improved navigation and functionality to help visitors find the information they need faster.
The most significant change, based on direct requests from dealers, is the expansion of content about WEDA’s advocacy efforts that includes a member log-in portal to the association’s legislative & regulatory affairs action center, providing information regarding current legislation, dealer protection statutes, regulations and more for both the U.S. and Canada.
"With rapidly changing and ever-increasing legislative and regulatory issues, the need for a clear and concise government affairs strategy has become more important to a dealer's success,” said Eric Wareham, vice president of government affairs, WEDA. “With the legislative action center, we are expanding the ability to communicate our legislative priorities and update our members in real time on the progress of public policies that directly benefit them."
“The new website has a clean uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced rich content focused on the association’s mission to help dealers capitalize on the value-added products and services we offer,” said Jennifer Luce, vice president of Pacific Northwest, WEDA. “One factor that won’t change with the redesign is the ease to ‘Become a Member’ through our online application/renewal form.”
Key features of the new site are the addition of a new Dealer Institute and Equipment Dealer Consulting microsite and more robust “News” and “Events” sections for important updates and to showcase association events.
“With the new Dealer Institute microsite, we wanted to meet the needs of both dealers who are ready to register for our education, training and consulting offerings and those who are still in the research phase of choosing one of the various tools, resources and programs we offer,” said Cory Hayes, vice president of education and training at Dealer Institute.
“We’re proud to launch the new WEDA website. We believe the expansion and redesign will reinforce the Association’s position as a top-tier value-added service provider. With the new design, we expect an increase in website visitors and content consumption. We look forward to feedback and the exciting new developments to come” said Carolynn Sinclair, marketing and communications manager at WEDA.
