CARY, N.C. — John Deere announces the redesign of its 2025R compact utility tractor, equipped with a Final Tier 4-compliant diesel engine.
The 2025R comes equipped with TwinTouch foot controls, allowing the operator to select speed and direction of travel with the light touch of a toe, reducing operator fatigue and increasing productivity. With the addition of the optional Auto-Throttle, the operator can automatically increase or decrease engine speed while pressing on either of the TwinTouch pedals. The 2025R also features equal forward and reverse ground speed, which, when combined with the TwinTouch pedals, allows for faster direction changes.
“Comfort, reliability and productivity are key considerations impacting our customer’s decision when purchasing a compact utility tractor. When redesigning the 2025R, we focused on incorporating features that met these needs to provide customers with a powerful, durable machine,” said DeMark Cole, product specialist for compact utility tractors. “The 2025R is designed to offer versatility and comfort to ensure customers are able to efficiently move from task to task with ease, whether mowing, digging or transporting.”
The 2025R operator station has been equipped with features to increase comfort and visibility. The controls are repositioned and color-coded for easy identification and convenient operation. The cushion on the new seat is 2-inches thicker than the previous model and features armrests and full-seat suspension. Rubberized floor mats reduce vibration and noise to the operator, making operation more enjoyable, while standard cruise control reduces operator fatigue. Other improvements include a newly designed toolbox, providing lockable on-board storage and the ability to remove it from the tractor for on-the-go needs.
The design of the 2025R improves operator visibility, with a new sloping hood design similar to the other models in the John Deere compact utility tractor line. Standard work lights, as well as optional LED work lights, increase the area of visibility, further maximizing productivity and overall uptime. The 2025R is available with one of three tire options, including the new R3 Radial Tire, providing a solution ideal for applications that require an improved ride. The R3 Bias Ply Tire, and the R4 Industrial Tire round out the available tire options.
Operators can quickly install and remove implements on the 2025R, reducing time spent switching between tasks. Customized implement configurations – a total of seven different combinations available – decrease time spent installing and removing implements in preparation of a task. The Quik-Park™ loader makes installation and removal simple and effortless, with the integrated parking stand providing an easy storage solution, allowing operators to spend more time working on the task at hand. Additionally, the 2025R features the industry-exclusive AutoConnect mid-mount mower deck, allowing the operator to attach or remove the deck with minimal effort in a matter of a couple minutes. The updated Height of Cut system allows for quick and easy adjustment of the mower deck with the push of a button.
Daily service has improved with quarter turn fasteners allowing owners to quickly and easily remove the engine side panels in less than one minute. The addition of the air filter restriction indicator alerts the operator when the air filter needs to be cleaned or changed, simplifying routine maintenance.
