ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Messick’s has set a new record of donations collected, reaching a total of $41,942.37 during their recent Christmas Light Show display in Elizabethtown Pa. The Christmas Light Show was open to the public for 28 nights in December and brought in over 3,942 cars throughout the event. All of the donations collected are distributed to local charities including Paxton Street Ministries, Water Street Rescue Mission, Mennonite Disaster Service, and Elizabethtown Community Cupboard.
This is the 4th year that Messick’s has put on the Christmas Light Show and with this year's donations included, they have reached a total of $120,657.72 raised and donated to local charities.
Messick’s Christmas light show featured a new massive snow blowing machine, two flame throwers and over 100,000 lights covering the store, light poles, and dozens of Kubota tractors, excavators, skid steer loaders and RTV’s that move to holiday music broadcasted to an FM radio station for viewers to enjoy from the warmth of their cars. Messick’s would like to thank everyone who attended the event and the volunteers that helped make the event possible this year.
