Greenworks Commercial announced today it will host an industry-wide recognition program to celebrate the good work that professional landscapers perform in their communities. Scheduled to launch in January 2017, the Greenworks Commercial “Landscaper of the Year” program aims to honor the men and women of the landscaping industry who apply their trade in a volunteer capacity to create a positive change within their community.
Twelve winners — one per month — will be selected as finalists based on nominations that detail each nominee’s community impact. All twelve monthly winners will be awarded with a complete ‘set’ of Greenworks Commercial 82-volt outdoor power equipment and will be eligible for the Grand Prize – an all-expense-paid trip for four to the 2017-18 College Football National Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Landscaping professionals are oftentimes the unsung heroes of their communities,” said Chris Allen, President of Greenworks North America. “Whether they are cleaning up a park in an underprivileged area, beautifying the yard of an elderly neighbor, helping with disaster relief, or any of a number of other activities to better their community, we want to honor and recognize the hardworking men and women that keep America, and our neighborhoods, beautiful and safe!”
Companies of all sizes are encouraged to participate, and Greenworks will select monthly winners based on written entries that detail the exemplary community service of a company or individual. Details on how to enter, along with terms and conditions of the program will be announced in December 2016.
