Among all the news stories posted on RLD.com in May, dealers were most interested in what fellow dealers had to say about Big Box stores. Our “Sound Off” blog ranked number one and one dealer’s strategies for competing with large retailers ranked number four in our top 10 list. Our feature story about one Big Box story in particular, Tractor Supply, ranked eighth.

Big announcements regarding Exmark’s lawsuit against Briggs & Stratton and Kubota’s plan to purchase Great Plains (and its Land Pride brand) ranked second and third. Kubota’s recent recall of models of its utility vehicles ranked sixth.

Dealers were also interested in strategies for improving the efficiencies of their service teams, the appearance of their inventory displays, as well as how to be smarter about used equipment inventories.  

Finally, John Deere’s practices of measuring employee morale ranked number 10.
