“Rural heritage and traditions like this are common bonds that the PRCA and Massey Ferguson share,” says Cale Sledge, tactical marketing manager, AGCO. “Our support of the Hall of Fame helps honor these legendary athletes and preserve the sport’s proud history for rodeo fans to enjoy for years to come. We’re committed to ProRodeo Hall of Fame through a relationship with PRCA which began more than 40 years ago and we’re proud to donate the MF1734E compact tractor for the Gala Auction.”

“We are thankful for the generosity of Massey Ferguson and the company’s support of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame,” says Kent Sturman, director of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy. “We are proud to have a partnership with a corporation that shares our belief in rural and western heritage. Their support helps our museum preserve that heritage.”

The tractor has horsepower ratings of 34 engine/29 PTO and is equipped with a clean-burning, turbo-charged diesel engine that provides excellent performance and reliability. It has gear or hydrostatic transmission choices, loader option and 5-year powertrain warranty.

Massey Ferguson also supports the grounds care of the Hall of Fame and Museum by providing a free 1-year lease of a Massey Ferguson GC1710 sub-compact tractor equipped with a belly mower. In total, Massey Ferguson’s donations this year are valued at more than $40,000.

More than 40 years of commitment
Hesston first became involved with Professional Rodeo Cowboys in 1975 when the hay and forage harvesting equipment manufacturer obtained the rights to televise the final night of the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), then held in Oklahoma City, Okla. Hesston’s commitment to ProRodeo has transcended time as the company has been involved with the PRCA and has sponsored the NFR continuously since 1975. In 2011, Hesston by Massey Ferguson renewed the company’s sponsorship and committed to carrying on the tradition by becoming the official farm-equipment company of the PRCA with high visibility during the PRCA-sanctioned NFR.

“We are honored to have a long-standing relationship with NFR,” says Sledge. “Just as rodeo and hay production have a shared heritage in the West, sponsorship of the NFR is an important part of our heritage and our future.”
