BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Rural Lifestyle Dealer recognizes Kelly Tractor & Equipment of Longview, Texas, as its 2015 Single-Store Dealership of the Year and PrairieCoast Equipment of Alberta and British Columbia as its 2015 Multi-Store Dealership of the Year. The 2015 awards markthe ninth year that Rural Lifestyle Dealer has recognized equipment dealerships for outstanding financial performance and innovative strategies in serving hobby farmers, large property owners, landscapers and light equipment contractors.
Mike Kelly founded Kelly Tractor & Equipment in 1985 as a New Holland dealership and later added Mahindra. The dealership also carries Bad Boy Mowers, Bush Hog, Kuhn and Top Hat Trailers. In its early days, the dealership mainly served agricultural customers but adapted to the area’s growing segment of rural lifestyle customers.
PrairieCoast Equipment began in 2009 with the merger of 4 John Deere dealerships. The dealership opened a new rural lifestyle store in Kamloops, B.C. in 2013, bringing new awareness to an area it had served for more than 40 years. The Kamloops location has the largest territory in the dealership group, stretching from Prince Rupert on the west to Kelowna on the east and covering nearly 890 miles (1,400 kilometers).In addition to John Deere, the dealership also carries Brandt, Stihl and Degelman.
