WASHINGTON, D.C. — Scag Power Equipment has recalled two Liberty-Z zero-turn lawn mowers: model SZL48-22KT with serial numbers K7100001 through K7102353 and model SZL52-24KT with serial numbers K7200001 through K7202020, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Scag has received five reports of gas tank leaks on the mowers. No injuries have been reported.

The mowers were distributed from October 2014 through May 2015. The model and serial numbers are printed on a vertical plate under the mower’s seat. “Scag” in red letters, “Liberty Z” in white letters and a blue “Z” is printed on a plate below the front of the seat. 

Consumes are advised to mmediately stop using these recalled lawn mowers and contact Scag or an authorized dealer for a free repair. Scag authorized dealers have contacted all known owners. Go to www.scag.com for additional information about the replacement tanks.
