GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) has named Steve Battreall president and CEO, effective immediately.
GE Capital, CDF provides inventory financing solutions, service and intelligence for dealers and distributors. CDF generally facilitates the movement of finished goods inventory and certain account receivable between manufacturers, distributors and dealers/resellers. For dealers/resellers, CDF offers extended payment terms to incentivize stocking broader inventory levels to grow sales (100% invoice advance on inventory).
Battreall, a 28-year GE veteran, was previously the chief commercial officer at CDF, providing oversight to the commercial organization and enhancing new relationship development strategies. He began his GE career in 1987 as part of GE’s Financial Management Program. Following positions at GE Aircraft Engines and GE Power Generation, he joined GE Capital and since then has held sales and commercial leadership roles in a number of GE Capital’s equipment finance and corporate finance businesses.
Battreall received his bachelor’s degree in economics from DePauw University.
“CDF is a fantastic business, filled with exceptional employees who really understand our customer’s industries,” said Battreall. “I am honored to lead the CDF business and am excited about the future as we continually evolve and strive to provide our customers with a best-in-class experience.”
CDF is a leading provider of inventory financing, also known as floorplan financing, which allows dealers to stock, market and sell a wide variety of products from manufacturers.
