This week Polaris has introduced a new attachment for the BRUTUS HD and BRUTUS HDPTO commercial utility vehicles.
The Grapple allows users to place a firm grip on materials – from branches to logs and from brush to straw bales – with in-cab hydraulic controls, making for efficient and effective materials moving and property maintenance.
The BRUTUS HD and BRUTUS HDPTO are two of four models available in the BRUTUS line, the first purpose-built commercial utility vehicle from Polaris. The HD is capable of operating four hydraulically- powered attachments (snow blade, pallet forks, materials bucket and grapple), while the HDPTO can operate those four attachments as well as three others: finishing mower, angle broom and snow blower. The benefit of both UTVs is more productivity with less equipment.
“With the BRUTUS line in particular, Polaris is committed to giving as much versatility, capability and comfort as possible to our customers,” said Aaron Stegemann, Polaris business development manager of ORV adjacent markets. “The addition of the grapple means BRUTUS HD and HDPTO owners can now move materials while taking advantage of the many functions these utility vehicles offer: an industry-first treadle pedal for hands-free shifting, class-leading cargo and towing capabilities, available heat and air conditioning and more.”
The grapple represents significant value to landscape contractors and multi-acre homeowners, who need to manage extensive stretches of property.
This newest attachment works in conjunction with the materials bucket, which is sold separately, and can be easily added or removed by one person, using three cotter pins.
