OREGON is expanding its outdoor power equipment line with the addition of three new products. Geared toward professionals looking for an alternative to gas-powered tools, the new products include a blower, second-generation chain saw and a corded electric chain saw. Utilizing OREGON’s signature cutting technology and advanced user features like on-tool PowerSharp, the new tools are designed for power, performance and convenience.
“The new additions of a blower and more powerful chain saw to our popular 40V MAX Cordless Tool System offer professionals new tool options for getting work done faster and more efficiently, minus hassles like fuel mixing, emissions and noise,” said Michael Moriarty, OREGON’s senior product line manager.
“Our new corded chain saw is an excellent option for professionals looking for additional bar length with the added convenience of built-in PowerSharp, which sharpens a dull chain in as little as three seconds.”
• The BL300 Blower will be one of the most powerful battery-powered blowers on the market. A variable speed trigger and Turbo button for added power give the user control to determine the proper airflow for the job, while maximizing run time. On Turbo, the BL300 provides 495 CFM at 132 MPH. On High, the BL300 offers 394 CFM at 105 MPH. It’s also quiet, with a bystander decibel rating of less than 65db, making it ideal for communities and settings that require lower noise.
• OREGON’s popular cordless chain saw has been re-engineered with 40 percent more power. Equipped with on-tool PowerSharp technology, a 16-inch bar (versus 14-inch on its predecessor), tool-less tensioning and a brushless motor, the CS300 offers a more powerful cutting experience.
• OREGON’s high power, 15-amp CS1500 Chain Saw is the only self-sharpening corded electric saw on the market. Offering all the convenience of electric saws—instant start, minimal maintenance and silence between cuts—the CS1500 comes equipped with an 18-inch reduced kickback guide bar and chain. Users will never cut with a dull chain again. One quick pull of the red PowerSharp lever takes the chain from dull to sharp in as little as three seconds.
The BL300 Blower and CS300 Chain Saw, and all tools in OREGON’s 40V MAX Cordless Tool System, are powered by OREGON’s exclusive battery platform, featuring premium lithium ion cylindrical cell technology. The 40V MAX platform provides a better user experience with long run times, constant no fade power, no memory effect, and the ability for battery packs to hold their charge in storage for months.
“OREGON has a long legacy of developing innovative, high-performing products for forestry and landscaping professionals,” Moriarty said. “Our new BL300, CS300 and CS1500 round out an already robust line of outdoor power tools dedicated to supporting professionals day in and day out who are looking for alternatives to gas-powered products.”
The CS1500 Chain Saw will be available for purchase in Fall 2014, while the BL300 Blower and CS300 Chain Saw will be available in early 2015.
