Case IH may be well-known for its high-horsepower tractor leadership, but it also understands the need for smaller, more nimble tractors that can go where large tractors cannot. Enter the Farmall V tractor, designed specifically for the tighter spaces and more narrow rows of fruit and nut orchards and vineyards.
“The Farmall V tractor is designed to get in and around vines and low-hanging tree branches, make tight turns and run at the perfect speed for spraying and dusting,” says Greg Lucey, Case IH Farmall Marketing Manager. “This tractor also has a lower center of gravity, so it performs well on steep inclines. And if operators need to stop on a hill, they have an 80 percent more efficient parking brake system than the previous generation of narrow-width tractors.”
The Farmall 105 V tractor has 90 PTO horsepower run on the Tier 3 emissions-standard- compliant engines to deliver high levels of power and torque, while still providing excellent fuel efficiency and longer oil life.
A variety of configurations and features are also available to ensure high performance and operator comfort, regardless of the weather. Farmall V tractors are FWD standard, with an option for 2WD. They come standard with a 16 x 16 mechanical Shuttle Command transmission configuration and can be ordered with a 32 x 16 or 28 x 16 mechanical Shuttle Command transmission. An electro- hydraulic option, the Dual Command transmission, also is available and comes in 16 x 16, 32 x 16 or 44 x 16 configurations. Depending on their operating style and the attachments they use, producers can choose from five PTO configurations as well as an option for up to three remotes.
“The Case IH Farmall V tractor is loaded with features that accommodate the variations in climate and terrain that orchard, vineyard and nut grove owners face,” continued Lucey.
The Farmall 105V comes with your choice of either ROPS or an enclosed cab, and each includes touches of comfort not found on comparable competitive tractors. The cab version provides heat and air conditioning as well as improved cab air filtration and a sliding front screen for those perfect-weather days. To help improve productivity, Farmall V tractors have telescoping steering columns, plenty of lights and mirrors where they are needed, a new instrument cluster that is more accurate and easy to read than ever and an ergonomically designed seat.
Farmall N Series Narrow-Width Tractor Series
The Farmall V series is a close cousin to the previously released Farmall N series, which also features a low profile and narrow width that orchard, vineyard and nut grove owners appreciate. There are three Farmall N series tractors, the 75N, 95N and 105N, that range from 62 PTO hp to 92 PTO hp. These share many of the same features as the V series, with a slightly wider configuration and a higher-horsepower option. Like the V series, they also have a cab or ROPS option and two transmission options: a 16 x 16 standard transmission or a 32 x 16 Power Shuttle.
