Western Maryland Outdoor Power recently was named National Retailer of the Year for 2013 by Cub Cadet.

The award encompasses overall sales and customer service, as well as customer support and loyalty, dealership growth and commitment to the Cub Cadet brand. In addition to National Retailer of the Year, Western Maryland Outdoor Power also was awarded the title of Regional Retailer of the Year.

More than 1,500 dealerships across the nation competed for the award. Owner Jim O’Neal, son and full-time employee Derek O’Neal and Manager Daniel Finniss were on hand to accept the awards at the Cub Cadet Dealer Convention on Sept. 17 in Nashville, Tenn.

Western Maryland Outdoor Power has been serving Western Maryland since its first dealership opened in 2001. Since then, it has expanded to locations in Accident, Cumberland, Hancock and Hagerstown. The newest locations, in Keyser and Morgantown, W.Va., are known as West Virginia Outdoor Power.
