At this year's GIE+EXPO, John Deere introduced the 3E and 3R Series compact utility tractors for landscape contractors who need to do more than mow grass.
Five models (3032E, 3038E, 3033R, 3039R and 3046R) make up the line and provide professional landscapers the uptime, performance, comfort and convenience needed for various jobsite tasks, including material movement, mowing, seed bed preparation, and fence post setting.
“A compact utility tractor is a great solution for many tasks with limited jobsite space that are normally associated with skid steers and compact track loaders,” said Scott Schadler, John Deere product marketing manager. “Their compact size and attachment capability make the compact utility tractor a versatile tool in the contractor’s fleet.”
The 3E and 3R models feature powerful Final Tier 4 engines ranging from 32 to 46 hp to power through tough tasks. The hydrostatic transmission with Twin Touch Pedals provides operators with simple, comfortable-to-use hydrostatic controls to find the right speed for the job at hand. It’s as simple as pressing a single foot pedal to go forward and another foot pedal to go in reverse. An optional PowrReverser transmission available on the 3033R and 3039R allows the operator to change directions using a hand lever and without clutching. Intuitive controls are color-coded (orange for throttle and shifting; black for hydraulics; yellow for PTO) for easy operation.
