The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) will showcase its one-fuel solution for both dealers and landscape contractors in Booth #7094 at GIE+EXPO Oct. 23-25, 2013. This year’s GIE+EXPO marks a turning point, as more landscaper contractors than ever have turned to propane-fueled equipment to cut costs and reduce emissions, according to Jeremy Wishart, senior programs manager at PERC.
“Fluctuating gasoline and diesel prices and issues with ethanol blends are pushing contractors to learn more about propane,” Wishart said. “With an ever-increasing array of proven equipment to choose from, transitioning to an all-propane fleet has never made more sense. Propane is a versatile solution that helps contractors not only mow green, but save green.”
PERC’s GIE booth will display several propane-fueled mowers, a portable generator and a propane autogas pickup truck, giving dealers and contractors a firsthand look at the latest propane technology. PERC representatives and industry experts will be on-hand to answer questions and share propane success stories.
On GIE’s Dealer Day, October 23, PERC will equip dealers with the tools they need to add propane equipment to their business model. Dealers can sign up to receive PERC’s Dealer Toolkit containing sales tips and advice on how to make money and attract new customers with propane. They can also enter to win a personalized Demo Day Event organized and hosted by PERC. The Demo Day Event will give the winning dealer a chance to connect with local landscape professionals and jumpstart their propane sales.
On October 24 and 25, landscape professionals will learn how propane can become a one-fuel solution for their entire fleet and gain key insights into growing their business and marketing the benefits of the clean alternative fuel to their current and potential customers. Contractors will also have the chance to win a propane-powered portable generator.
In addition to equipment and propane experts, the booth will feature the Path to Propane exhibit and Wall of Propane Fame. The Path to Propane will take visitors through a series of displays demonstrating how propane offers an easy, affordable, clean, and American-made solution. Participants can then put their knowledge to the test, challenging fellow attendees in an interactive quiz game for bragging rights and prizes. The Wall of Propane Fame will feature testimonials from successful dealers and contractors.
