Case-New Holland, through its Case Construction Equipment brand, has helped install 500 new vegetable gardens in the yards of Milwaukee residents.
The Victory Garden Blitz involved the installation of 500 new vegetable gardens throughout the City of Milwaukee from May 11-25. Nearly twice as many gardens were installed this spring than last year.
Case Construction Equipment is a brand of CNH, a subsidiary of Fiat Industrial. For its role in the Blitz project, the division lent a Case SV185 medium-frame skid steer loader and a machine operator, and provided material for event signage — all of which is in addition to a financial donation by CNH. Fifteen Fiat Industrial employees and their family members and friends volunteered a day of labor to the effort, which included the construction and filling of raised gardens across Milwaukee.
“We’re thrilled to participate in this project — and we congratulate everyone who contributed their time and effort to make the goal of 500 gardens a reality,” stated Jim Hasler, vice president, Case Construction Equipment-North America. “It’s a remarkable accomplishment.”
