New home to be built for veteran in Tuscan Lakes in League City, Texas.
Mahindra USA and Operation Finally Home (OFH) are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of a new home in League City, Texas, for a deserving veteran and his family. The home, in the Tuscan Lakes subdivision, is scheduled for completion in Summer 2013. Mahindra USA, the number one selling tractor brand in the world based on volume, along with its dealer network actively support Operation Finally Home, a non-profit organization that provides custom-made mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen.
“Operation Finally Home values its global partnership with Mahindra USA; they have dedicated time and resources to making new homes a reality for veterans across the country,” said Daniel Vargas, Executive Director of Operation Finally Home. “Our mission to help returning heroes more easily face life back home becomes reality through the generosity of companies like Mahindra.”
“Operation Finally Home is an outstanding organization, providing valuable support for our nation’s heroes as they transition to civilian life,” said Cleo Franklin, vice president, marketing and strategic planning. “Mahindra is pleased to be a part of the Operation Finally Home team involved in building this and other new homes for our veterans.”
This home is being built on a lot purchased at cost from Johnson Development, a Houston-based developer, and under the supervision of Murphy Yates, an OFH board member and co-founder of Harbour Classic Builders. Additional partners in the League City home include the Houston Texans and Texas Home Improvement radio show with Jim Dutton on KTRH.
Mahindra USA, in partnership with the more than 600 Mahindra Tractor dealers, partners and staff, raised more than $150,000 for Operation Finally Home when it announced its support for Operation Finally Home in February 2012, at its national dealers meeting. Following an emotional presentation by Operation Finally Home Executive Director Daniel Vargas TSgt, USAF (retired) and Lieutenant General Rick Lynch, former Commanding General III Armored Corps at Fort Hood, Mahindra dealer regions demonstrated the true Mahindra culture of ‘Rise’ by spontaneously making group pledges.
