Efco introduced two new series of trimmers at the recent GIE+Expo show in Louisville, Ky.

The new line of trimmers have the highest power to weight ratio on the market. With an average weight of less than 10 pounds, these trimmers are comfortable for even the longest jobs.

While both series of trimmers are extremely light and offer 21.7 cc engines, the DS 2200 series delivers 1.1 HP for homeowners, while the DS 2400 offers 1.2 HP for the commercial user. The DS 2200 is available in three styles: TR, a curved shaft, loop handle; S, a straight shaft, loop handle; and T, a straight shaft, bike handle. The DS 2400 comes in two styles: S, a straight shaft, loop handle and T, a straight shaft, bike handle. With five options to choose from, there is a trimmer for every user.

All of the trimmers are easy to use and maintain. Starting instructions that are embossed on the filter cover mean easy starting and directions that won't wear off. With an easy-on double spring assisted starter assembly, starting requires much less effort. Ergonomic handles and an anti-vibration system make the trimmers comfortable to use for extended periods. No tools required access to the air filter makes maintenance quick and easy. The DS 2200 features a sponge air filter and the DS 2400 has a cloth air filter for better filtration. A solid steel drive shaft in the DS 2400 make these models more durable and long lasting for the commercial market.

All trimmers come equipped with the new Load & Go linehead, that can be loaded in 20 seconds. The DS 2200 T and DS 2400 T come with straps to make long jobs easier to handle.  The DS 2200 series and DS 2400 series were designed to optimize the power of the trimmer while keeping the operator as comfortable as possible during extended work periods.
