HOUSTON, TX (August 22, 2012) – Mahindra USA, the number one selling tractor brand in the world based on volume, is adding its fourth North American assembly and distribution facility in Bloomsburg, PA. The new facility, celebrating its grand opening on August 28, 9:30 am – 11:30 am, will provide support and service to Mahindra’s northeast United States and eastern Canadian dealers and partners.

The Mahindra Northeast Authorized Distribution Center will be operated in partnership with Mahindra dealer, TPC Power Center. The center will have a positive impact on the Bloomsburg and surrounding area’s economy. Mahindra and TPC have converted an empty warehouse on five acres into a fully-functional 40,000 square foot facility that will employ up to 30 people in the operation as it moves into full production.  Initially, the facility will assemble 200 Mahindra tractors per month with the capacity to produce 500 per month.

In celebration of the grand opening of this facility, TPC owners will be joined by key executives representing Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive & Farm Sector, Mahindra USA, Mahindra Finance USA, Mitsubishi as well as area suppliers, partners and community leaders. Following a cultural tradition from India, the facility will be officially opened with the breaking of coconuts and lighting of lamps to mark the auspicious occasion.
