According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers' (AEM) monthly "Flash Report," sales of all tractors in the U.S. for April 2012 were up considerably compared to the same month last year.
The area of largest growth came in the <40 HP 2WD tractor category which is up 17.2% vs April of 2011 and 6.6% up YTD versus the same time period last year.
Two-wheel drive tractors in the 40<100 HP also had a strong showing in April with 11.9% growth vs April of 2011 and a 5.8% YTD increase over last year.
Grouped together, there were 20,888 tractors sold in April 2012 vs 18,672 in April last year and a total of 54,512 tractors were sold YTD compared to 51,956 sold through April 2011.
