Online registration is now open for the 2010 GIE+EXPO, which will be held in Louisville October 28-30. Go to www.gie-expo.com for updates on events planned for the tradeshow.
GIE+EXPO is sponsored by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) and Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS). It is now the 14th largest tradeshow in America, according to Trade Show Executive magazine.
According to Bill Harley, president and CEO of OPEI, many of the event’s popular features will return in 2010 including the New Products Arena, the two-day outdoor demonstration area and the Green Industry Conference. New features will be announced in the coming months through the media and the Web site.
Joel Sportel, grounds and transportation manager at Kalamazoo College, was one of the 16,000 participants at the 2009 show. "GIE+EXPO is a great way to see, test and gain a lot of industry knowledge indoors as well as outdoors in the demo area. The show gives me a great way to test and compare different brands all in one spot,” he said. “GIE+EXPO brings the green and power together for my turf and equipment needs. And, Louisville is a great location! "
Among the 500 exhibitors in 2009 was Cub Cadet. Tom Rossman, director of sales, said, “At GIE+EXPO dealers can meet directly with the corporate staff and the engineers of the products as well as talk to end users and listen to their needs."
