Domestic sales in August 2011 stood at 15,059 units vs. 12,454 units in the same period last year, an increase of 21%.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said on Thursday that its Farm Equipment Sector maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in August 2011.

Total tractor sales (domestic plus exports) in August 2011 stood at 16,003 units, vs. 13,436 units sold in the same period last year, an increase of 19%.

Domestic sales in August 2011 stood at 15,059 units compared with 12,454 units in the same period last year, an increase of 21%.

Exports for the month stood at 944 units.
