Signature Stories: Jack Holmes of Degree Lawn and Landscaping
After realizing the corporate 9-5 corporate world wasn’t for him, Jack Holmes decided a more outdoor-centric life as a landscape professional was a more appealing option. He started small, with one partner, a truck and trailer and a couple mowers, but growth came quickly. And after taking over another local landscape business, he was able to scale both the commercial and residential sides of the business. Today, the Degree Lawn & Landscaping team includes 40 employees servicing the company’s commercial clients, with a separate team of 25 to 30 workers servicing the company’s residential accounts.
