Oregon Tool has announced that its new TerraMax trimmer line is available at dealers and retailers. The global company, based in Portland, Or., reported that the new TerraMax trimmer was designed specifically to handle tough conditions, especially in harsh, dry rocky terrain, that take a toll on trimmer lines.

The company reports that TerraMax was developed to be more resistant to abrasion and experienced less line loss than competitors for those times when concrete and rock can’t be avoided. The co-extruded line provides the extra durability that harsh conditions demand.

TerraMax is made with a high-grade copolymer blended for added strength and stiffness making it ideally suited to cut through dense and robust vegetation with ease. In tests, this new line performed better, had less line flutter and was more stable with faster cutting, according to a statement issued by the company, adding that during trimmer line replacement, TerraMax’s aerodynamic design and extended pitch make it easier to feed into bump-feed heads.

The company’s portfolio of brands specializes in professional grade precision cutting tools for forestry, lawn and garden; farming, ranching and agriculture; and concrete cutting and finishing. Oregon Toolls has a multinational manufacturing and distribution footprint, and sells its products in more than 110 countries under the Oregon, Woods, ICS, Pentruder, Merit, Carlton and SpeeCo brands. The company also reports that it is a leading manufacturer of saw chain and guide bars for chainsaws and agricultural tractor attachments, as well as an OEM supplier of first-fit and replacement parts.
