In the product line’s first unveiling, Earthquake Power Equipment introduced its Earth Auger, String Mower and Cultivator — all part of its new 60V System lineup during this year’s Equip Expo. In an announcement shared with Rural Lifestyle Dealer, the company reports the new products provide gas-like performance, rivaling gas powered equipment, in a dependable and convenient battery platform.
For its part, the Earthquake 60V Earth Auger with an 8-Inch High-Performance Bit (Model: 44977) is a state-of-the-art earth auger combining performance of gas-powered models with convenience of electric operation. The company says the auger includes a 4Ah battery and can drill up to 35 holes per charge, allowing outdoor projects, from installing irrigation to digging post holes, to be completed without interruptions.
Variable speed trigger, easy-to-use reverse mode, quick connect coupler and heavy duty construction are key features. Additionally, Earthquake notes that its 8-inch diameter high-performance bit features heavy-duty carbide blades and a full 36-inch flight for superior digging power. The Earthquake 60V Earth Auger is compatible with all Earthquake Torque Reduction Accessories to improve efficiency on the job and reduce user wear and tear.
“We are excited to introduce the Earthquake 60V Earth Auger. This unit combined with our torque reduction accessories has changed the way we think about hole drilling tasks,” says Graham Ruppel, Director of Marketing for Earthquake.
The Cumberland, Wis. company was founded in 1960 when it introduced the 60G Ardis Quick Digger and has grown into an international brand of purpose-built power equipment. In 2000, Earthquake introduced gear-driven front tine tillers to the market with the Badger model with tuck-under wheels for easy transport, and IsoVibe drag stake technology and continued introducing new equipment into the marketplace. Last year, it expanded its earth auger bit offering by releasing the Rapid Fire Planting Augers, available in 1, 3, or 5 gallon sizes, as well as a Dually Torque Reduction System, which the company says set a new standard for safety while drilling and reducing user fatigue by up to 75% when drilling holes.
